Ms. Zhanglei Wang

Ms. Wang Zhanglei is a Chinese language teacher at Q-Learning Institute with a solid background in Chinese language and literature and rich teaching experience. She earned her bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Literature (Teacher Education) in China and is currently pursuing a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Pedagogy at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto. With over three years of educational and teaching experience, she has taught primary and junior high school Chinese courses. She is familiar with the language development characteristics of students of different ages and possesses strong English-Chinese bilingual communication and cross-cultural teaching abilities.

In terms of Chinese teaching, Ms. Wang previously worked at Shanghai Wenbang Education Technology Co., Ltd., teaching Chinese courses to students in grades 1–8 with a focus on story reading, creative writing, and personalized academic tutoring. She excels at integrating literary reading, writing training, and multicultural materials into the classroom. Through interactive teaching activities, she boosts students' learning interest and classroom participation, continuously adjusting course content based on student performance to provide targeted feedback and support. Prior to this, she served as a Chinese teacher at Shanghai Fushan Zhengda Foreign Language Primary School, delivering Chinese language and culture lessons to second- and third-grade students. By incorporating history, art, and contemporary cultural elements into the curriculum, she helped students gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture alongside their language learning.

Ms. Wang also brings extensive experience in curriculum activity design and cross-cultural education. During her early tenure as an English teaching assistant, she founded an English learning club, planned and organized learning activities themed around film, literature, and culture, and offered one-on-one personalized academic support. These interdisciplinary and cross-cultural experiences have led her to place special emphasis on students' expression skills, reading mindset, and cultural understanding. She is adept at making language learning vivid and meaningful through stories, discussions, creative projects, and themed activities.

Additionally, Ms. Wang holds a Junior High School Teacher Qualification Certificate from China and a National Mandarin Proficiency Test Certificate (Grade 2, Level A), speaking fluent and standard Mandarin. She values inclusive and multicultural teaching, respects the individual differences of every student, and helps learners build good study habits and confidence in Chinese expression through clear guidance, positive interaction, and continuous feedback. Drawing on her strong background in Chinese education, frontline teaching experience, and professional pedagogical training at U of T's OISE, Ms. Wang is dedicated to creating a warm, positive, and inspiring Chinese classroom where students can steadily improve their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills while experiencing the beauty of the Chinese language and culture.
