Course Introduction

Go is not only a time-honored game of Eastern wisdom but also a systematic training tool that cultivates focus, logical thinking, strategic vision, and patience Q-learning’s Go courses are designed for beginners and intermediate players, using small-class, tiered instruction . The curriculum covers everything from basic rules to strategic openings, gameplay techniques, and tournament mindset, helping students improve both their game skills and cognitive abilities.

Suitable Age: Age 5 or above
Language of Instruction: Bilingual (English & Chinese)
Teachers: Experienced Go instructors with years of experience in youth Go education and competition coaching

Course Divisions

  1. Beginner Class (Level 0–15)
    • Basic rules and terminology
    • Simple capture and connection techniques
    • Fundamental life-and-death problems and common joseki
    • Fun and engaging teaching to spark interest
  2. Elementary Class (Level 15–10)
    • Basic opening and mid-game strategies
    • Attack-defense transitions and board assessment
    • Small-scale game practice
    • Develop calculation skills and patience in thinking
  3. Intermediate Class (Level 10–5)
    • Advanced joseki and whole-board strategy
    • Mid-game battles and cultivating overall board vision
    • Game analysis and review techniques
    • Participate in in-school Go tournaments
  4. Competition Class (Level 5 and above)
    • Professional-level joseki study
    • High-level game practice and competition preparation
    • Pre-game psychological training and strategy planning
    • Aim for amateur ranks and awards in youth Go competitions
