Chinese (Grade 1-12)
18 Years of Community Free Courses
Course Introduction
Q-Learning’s Chinese courses are tailored to students’ language foundations and cultural backgrounds, with level-based classes that build skills step by step. The program systematically enhances listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities. Designed with a strong emphasis on interaction, classes incorporate engaging activities to create a relaxed, enjoyable learning environment where students truly “learn through fun.”
Our team develops original, practical teaching materials closely connected to real-life contexts, helping students apply what they learn flexibly and effectively. Beyond everyday communication skills, the program places special focus on character recognition and writing training, guiding students to read Chinese books and practice writing, thereby establishing a solid foundation in the language.
Course Positioning
Designed for both Chinese and non-Chinese students in Grades 1–12, the program builds comprehensive Chinese literacy through an integrated approach of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and cultural learning.
Curriculum Structure
The program is divided into 4 progressive levels, designed to meet the learning needs of students at different stages. Core teaching modules include: phonics and pronunciation training, analysis of radicals, etymology, and stroke structures, vocabulary and grammar application, writing techniques from paragraphs to full compositions, classical literature recitation and Chinese cultural etiquette, as well as oral expression and public speaking skills development.
Teachers Qualifications
Most of our teachers hold a Master of Education degree from OISE (Ontario Institute for Studies in Education), and 80% are certified with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT). Lessons are delivered with standardized teaching plans and formative assessments, while timely communication and feedback between teachers and parents ensure effective learning progress.
Tuition Policy
For the past 18 years, Q-learning has offered free Chinese classes to enrolled students (as a long-term complimentary program alongside other courses), upholding our commitment to both community service and high-quality education.
