Course Introduction

Grade Levels:9–12 年级
Language of Instruction: Bilingual (English & Chinese)
Curriculum Structure: Strictly aligned with the Ontario Science Curriculum

Curriculum

High School Science(Grade 9–12)

  • Grade 9–10: General Science, Foundations of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Environmental Science
  • Grade 11–12: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth & Environmental Science
  • Courses are closely aligned with Ontario’s University Preparation requirements, helping students build a solid foundation for STEM-related university programs

High School Physics (Grade 9-12)

Our High School Physics Program is closely aligned with the Ontario high school curriculum (SNC/SPH series), covering core units such as mechanics, waves, electromagnetism, and modern physics. The course is divided into two classes: Synchronized Advancement and Competition Enrichment:

  • Synchronized Advancement: Strengthens classroom knowledge, develops problem-solving strategies and exam techniques, preparing students for midterms, finals, and standardized tests.
  • Competition Enrichment: Focused on high-level contests such as the Canadian Physics Olympiad (CAP) and Waterloo Sir Isaac Newton Exam, providing training in challenging problems and experimental design.
The program emphasizes logical reasoning, model building, and experimental skills, laying a solid foundation for future studies in engineering, science, and related fields.

High School Chemistry (Grade 9-12)

Our High School Chemistry Program covers the full Ontario high school chemistry curriculum (SCH series), including atomic structure, chemical reactions, chemical equilibrium, acid-base theory, and organic chemistry.

  • Synchronized Advancement: Ensures comprehensive mastery of classroom content, strengthens experiment design and data analysis skills, and prepares students for school exams and university-level courses (e.g., AP Chemistry).
  • Competition Enrichment: Focused on the Canadian Chemistry Contest (CCC, CIC) and preparatory training for the International Chemistry Olympiad, offering systematic instruction on advanced problem-solving and experimental research methods.
The program integrates case studies and lab simulations to cultivate students’ scientific inquiry and innovation abilities.

High School Biology (Grade 9-12)

Our High School Biology Program follows the Ontario high school biology curriculum (SBI series) and university preparatory standards (AP Biology), covering modules such as cell biology, genetics, ecology, evolution, and human physiology.

  • Synchronized Advancement: Reinforces understanding of core concepts, integrating chart analysis, lab report writing, and exam practice to improve academic performance.
  • Competition Enrichment: Prepares students for the Waterloo Biology Contest and North American Biology Olympiad, providing advanced knowledge extension and experimental thinking training.
The program uses case studies, simulated experiments, and interdisciplinary integration to cultivate students’ research skills and critical thinking abilities.
