Mr. Jonathan Hull
Q-Learning Institute – English, Public Speaking & Debate Teacher
Mr. Jonathan Hull is a highly accomplished English language, public speaking, and debate instructor at Q-Learning Institute. He holds a B.A. (Specialized Honours in English) and a B.Ed. from York University and is an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) with additional qualifications in Special Education.
With over a decade of diverse teaching experience across Ontario’s public schools, private tutoring, and academic enrichment programs, he is dedicated to developing students’ comprehensive English communication and critical thinking skills. At Q-Learning Institute, Mr. Hull’s classes cover reading comprehension, advanced vocabulary, grammar, narrative and persuasive writing, speech writing, and competitive debate training. His lessons emphasize logical organization, persuasive argument construction, and confident verbal delivery. Mr. Hull has successfully guided students to outstanding competition results, including coaching student Jiaojiao Wang to secure 1st place in Canada and 2nd place worldwide at the DECA competition.
In addition to classroom teaching, Mr. Hull has served as an EQAO essay scorer and SAT writing coach, giving him a deep understanding of standardized writing assessment criteria. Renowned for his structured explanations, interactive classes, and emphasis on practice-based learning, he equips students to articulate ideas clearly and excel in both academic and real-world contexts.
