Q-Learning Art Studio | Fine Arts & Ceramics Teacher

Laura is currently pursuing her Master of Teaching (M.Ed.) at the University of Toronto, specializing in Visual Arts education, and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from York University. Her academic background uniquely combines art education with child development.

Laura has completed teaching practica in Toronto schools for Grade 5 and Grade 8, gaining hands-on classroom teaching experience across Visual Arts, English, and Mathematics. She is well-versed in the Ontario curriculum and excels at delivering differentiated, student-centered instruction tailored to diverse ages and learning styles.

As an experienced Art Instructor, Laura integrates drawing, color theory, visual design, mixed media, and ceramics into her lessons. Rather than focusing solely on the final artwork, she emphasizes the entire creative process—from initial concept and design to hands-on execution—helping students build aesthetic appreciation, artistic expression, and creative confidence step by step.

At Q-Learning Art Studio, Laura guides students through engaging, project-based learning to explore various art mediums and techniques. Her approach fosters observation skills, imagination, design thinking, and independent expression, turning the art classroom into a dynamic space where children can explore their creativity and express themselves.
